Ima Hogg Society
"When I was invited to join the Ima Hogg Society as a charter member in 2008, I didn't think twice. Bayou Bend has been a place of inspiration and joy throughout my life. Including it in my estate plans felt like the most natural and heartfelt way to give back. It's a privilege to play a small part in continuing Miss Hogg's vision and enduring legacy."
—Toni Wallingford,
Ima Hogg Society Member
The Ima Hogg Society recognizes and celebrates those who remember Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens in their wills and estate plans.
As an expression of our gratitude, Ima Hogg Society members receive:
- Recognition in the annual report, on the MFAH website, and in selected publications
- Invitations to attend exclusive tours, cocktail parties, a formal luncheon—and the annual Bayou Bend holiday party
- A personal contact at the MFAH through the Planned Giving office
Members of this society are also included in the Myrtle Wreath Society, but Ima Hogg Society members enjoy additional exclusive programs and benefits at Bayou Bend.
In 1957, Ima Hogg bequeathed her historic home, collection of American decorative arts, and expansive gardens to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. This remarkable gift is now regarded as one of the finest house museums in the world, and she continues to serve as the inspiration for the Ima Hogg Society.
Let us know you have included us in your plans. No dues or fees are necessary to participate in the Ima Hogg Society, but there is an enrollment process. Details regarding your future gift are not required. To join, please contact Julia Smith at [email protected] or 713-353-1587 with any questions.
